I just stumbled upon Gene Yang's article in the Language Arts Journal, "Graphic Novels in the Classroom" - it's a wonderful treatise on why use graphic novels for teaching, in comic form. Go Google it - and it's a PDF download. I can't legally paste it here...
Ryan says it's ok - so I'm pasting it here. Ryan, please post bail if I get into trouble. Mr Yang,if you reading this - it was Ryan's idea. Gene_Yang_article.pdf.

Furthermore, it is ok to share educational things - even a PDF =here under fair use as this is a non-profit educational site with a focus on media education (also see this book Copyright Clarity). Thanks for sharing this great article!
Also, FYI did you know Mr. Yang is an MC POP member? His page.
