APPS for Digital Close Reading

I'm very much a print Luddite on this front around Close reading (see almost everything on the playlist including:

I think that annotation apps, like Diigo sticky notes serve to focus students attention on specific aspects of texts for close reading (see attached report in press: Reading & Writing Quarterly); see also http://fusionfinds.wordpress.com/2013/12/10/digital-annotation-tool.../
