Making Curriculum Pop

This is an amazing collection of real historical color photos from the Depression. Not only would it work well for a novel study or history class; it would also be an excellent addition to any photo analysis and visual literacy lessons. Might be a great resource to pass on to colleagues or use for collaborative lessons.

I have created a "visual literacy" web page of resources. Of special interest to the library media specialists is the list of books for both students and teachers. I think visual literacy is one of those areas that does not get enough attention in classrooms and one of the reasons why is that teachers don't receive the necessary in-service training. Take a look at my site and let me know what you think.
