Library advocacy in difficult budget times

With budgets being squeezed, many schools are looking at Library Media Specialists as expendable, especially at the elementary level.  What are your best suggestions for advocacy?  Pick you r audience:  administrators, Board of Education members, community members,  or other teachers.
