This one gave me a laugh, if only my parents had used such tactics!

Very practical use of language...you know I know a teacher who gives credit to students who switch their cell phones over to Spanish.
Whatever it takes, eh?
I try to use my Spanish skills everyday, especially where I work, and my friends are always so impressed that I can speak another language, but none of them are motivated to do so. I never actually thought what it would take to get students interested in learning another language, and a lot of them think it will be too hard. There must be a lot of ways to get students interested in learning a second language, no matter what language it is, and it would be interesting to come up with some ideas on how to get them motivated.
Hey Hailie, thanks for writing. Use of knowledge/learning - in less silly ways than illustrated above - it always key - authentic assessments!
