Welcome Kelly! I hope you enjoy Japan!

I will most defs be on this Ning to get ideas and suggestions from you fabulous people!! Thanks in advance for all you're doing in this exciting field. (It's totally new to me as a library media specialist, so your expertise will be very helpful.)
Hey Angela,
Thank you for sharing that - do consider moving it up above into the discussion forum above so it has a URL - things posted here on the wall tend to get buried over time!
Ry:)
Here's a great web site for those of you who might be interested in using comics to teach ELL. Brian Boyd teaches in Thailand. He's posted tons of free resources for language arts teachers.
I'm looking for some new/fresh ideas on how to teach Don Quijote. We've done the draw a picture to describe what took place in that episode. We've acted out the episodes. We've drawn cartoons to replicate the action (using more basic and current vocabulary). We have also written our own episode (as well as acted it out, taped it and watched the new episodes in class). I have a crossword puzzle in the works for the review of a future episode. We've also watched a movie and discussed from there as well. However, I do not want us to fall into the read/talk rut. I'd love to hear your ideas on how to mix this up a bit. Thanks!
