Making Curriculum Pop

The National Geographic Society’s Geography Action! project recently launched mapping europe, a free download for use in the classroom. included are materials necessary for building a huge wall or floor map of europe, as well as activities for K-12 students. The tool kit addresses topics that range from map symbols and features to analysis of europe-focused data sets that touch on energy, environmental issues, tourism and other concepts. The tool kit, which could be a nice fit for Geography Awareness Week (nov. 15-21), is available at www.nationalgeographic.com/geography-action
