iPads in the classroom

I'm doing a study about professional development in technology; many districts roll out large technology initiatives without training teachers in the use of the technology. There's a lot of data that suggests that students fare no better, at least in terms of skill growth, in classrooms where teachers have not been trained in both skill and process (TPACK). We are actually starting this right now...so I'm curious to hear what other districts did and what worked and what didn't
