Hi, everyone. I heard about Making Curriculum Pop through a colleague, and I thought it would be a nice place to promote the work I'm doing with sports literacy. If you would like to know more, check out the site: http://sportsliteracy.wordpress.com/
If you have suggestions for additions to the site (e.g., books, lesson plans, ideas, resources), please let me know. We have a great session every year at NCTE called The Intersection of Sport, Education, and Society in English Education. I also hope to have an ALAN session again in 2013 (Chris Crutcher and Matt de la Pena headlined the panel in 2011).
Also, be on the lookout for our upcoming themed issue of English Journal (2014) dedicated to sports literacy. I'll post more information when I find out about the call for submissions.
