The film critic Matt Zoller Seitz met the filmmaker Wes Anderson in 1994 in Dallas, after seeing the short film “Bottle Rocket,” an expanded version of which would become Anderson’s first full-length feature. In 2013, their long relationship yielded “The Wes Anderson Collection,” Seitz’s lavishly illustrated book about Anderson’s seven feature-length movies up to that point.
Seitz now follows it with “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” an equally eye-popping look at Anderson’s most recent effort, a nominee for best picture at the Oscars on Feb. 22.
The book includes three interviews with Anderson totaling more than 20,000 words; storyboard sketches; and sections about the film’s score, costumes and production design.
