Making Curriculum Pop

I did a presentation at NCTE with, MC POPPER Elizabeth Stanley who I met for the first time at the presentation. She works Bullfrog Films, a company I didn't know much about until last week. Bullfrog has a pretty cool slate of films that deal with some complicated issues and teachable topics.

As described on their website - http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/

Over the last 36 years, Bullfrog Films has become the leading US publisher of independently- produced, environmental DVDs & videos, that point the way to living healthily, happily, and with greater concern for the other inhabitants of this planet, and for our descendants. We also distribute world-famous performing arts programs from Rhombus Media.

Sounds like a good mission, eh?

Without realizing it I highlighted a Bullfrog distributed film, "Virtual JFK" earlier in the week in the US History group:

Another film that looks to be a powerful teaching tool is A Sea Change - Imagine A World Without Fish (Bullfrog Films)

If you get a chance do browse their selection of films. Hopefully, If Elizabeth has some time she can post YouTube trailers for all the films that might be of interest in specific special interest groups here at MC POP. In the meantime, I pasted a copy of the PDF she handed out at our presentation at NCTE!

Happy Previewing!
