Making Curriculum Pop

I recently posted this "joke of the week" from Time Out New York on my Facebook Page...

That response is from MC POPPER, author and English Ed Professor James Bucky Carter. This trailer is an excellent way to talk about omissions, scene selection, sound and editing as it applies to pretty much any media. I think it becomes especially helpful as a metaphor for how news is constructed. Enjoy the trailer...

Ryan, your post reminds me of this remix of the Oscar-winning film "The King's Speech," which I am using in an upcoming workshop for media teachers.

ED: NOTE FROM RYAN (THE LAST MINUTE OF THE CLIP IS NOT SCHOOL FRIENDLY AS POTTY MOUTH LANGUAGE IS DROPPED!)

A bit long but super f-f-f-f-fun - esp. using Pailn from one of the best movies ever!

Thanks for sharing, Ryan. That reminds me of the this remix trailer of The Shining.

Luke, I don't even know if I can tell you how awesome that remix is - you are a golden god for sharing that one!
