Making Curriculum Pop

You can't show this interview to kids but I think anyone who is a Sendak fan will enjoy this candid (and very funny) interview with the great satirist / TV host Stephen Colbert. For those not familiar with Colbert he does these interviews in the character of a right wing TV host (inspired by Bill O'Riley). There are no swears in the interview but it is probably something you should only watch at school if your classroom is empty.

This was so much fun to watch!!!  I'm so glad you posted these, Ryan!

So glad you liked them - I thought it was one of the best interviews I've seen Colbert do of late.

This was amazing! Thank you for sharing, I want to share it with my college level class.  Maybe just tell them about the interview so that they can watch it on their own.

Gigi, glad you liked it - I did actually role the dice and show it in one of my college classes (they loved it) but you know - it is borderline ok for class, right? I used it to talk about tone.

That was hillarious! Thanks!

Yes, a classic - if you want a heartbreaking interview/s check out Fresh Air Remembers Author Maurice Sendak
