I am always surprised when some one says movies are full of inaccuracies. Isn't it the job of movies, to tell us a story, to take some event or story line and give it a twist? That is part of the meaning of HOLLYWOOD, I think. It is part of the Movie Magic that comes to us on the big screen.

I think many people come to films (like Titanic, The Patriot, Pearl Harbor, etc) expecting to see/hear historical facts, but in reality, film-makers must choose what to include and what to omit.  That's one reason I think it is worthless in a classroom to have students compare and contrast a novel with its filmed adaptation: there is no comparison.
