Hi Margie - I know you're looking for stuff in the post-seconday context but I just saw this ad for a K-8 book that might be loaded with ideas you could scale up and research to cheek out...I dunno but it seems that it would be worth a click!

It's essential that we explicitly teach kids how visual information works—how to comprehend it and how to communicate with it. I See What You Mean is a practical guide to incorporating visual literacy—maps, diagrams, tables, graphs, and charts—throughout your K-8 curriculum. Preview the entire book!

You might also dig the Post-Secondary Educators group.

Howdy Margie !

Great to have you here!  Do consider joining the P.E., Health & Wellness Education group!

You might also enjoy this blog "Eating Our Way Through School: Using food in the Gastronomy, English or Social Studies classroom" a fav. for teachers who work with food.

At the top of the group there should be an little + sign similar to the one in the Middle School group (image below) that says "+Join Middle School Group." Easy stuff.

Good Vibes,

Ryan:)
