Join NAMLE June 26 - 27 for its national media literacy conference. Educators, researchers, librarians and youth-media experts will converge in Philadelphia for two energetic days of idea-sharing, brainstorming, and professional development focused on media in the classroom and media literacy. As a bonus, CEU credits are being offered to K12 teachers at no charge.
Whether you're new to the media literacy field, a veteran of it, or just curious about how to incorporate media literacy education in your own classroom, you'll come away with abundant resources, personal connections, and lots of energy and ideas.
Educator and author Vivian Vasquez is the opening keynote speaker, and there will be more than 30 unique program sessions.
The conference is part of Global Media and Information Literacy Week and this will bring scholars and teachers from across the globe to this Philadelphia-based conference. An international plenary session will include representatives from UNESCO, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and university educators from Spain, Japan, China, Egypt, Jamaica, Mexico and more to share global media literacy practice and research.
