Making Curriculum Pop

Hi,

Snow day today and tomorrow for me, so after shoveling the sidewalk I've been thinking about the books I read with my students.

I'm in the middle of Nora Martin's A Perfect Snow with my 10 graders, and they're bored. While I'm working to turn things around, I'm thinking about engaging books I might be able to get into when we finish A Perfect Snow.

My students are from Camden, NJ and they enjoy reading urban fiction. I'd love to find something they'd really connect with. Any ideas for 9-10th grade appropriate (possibly urban fiction?) books?

Much appreciated,

Andrew
