Making Curriculum Pop

Looking for an interesting collection of short stories, either an anthology, or single stories that High School students would enjoy.

The more modern the better.

Speaking of Dave Eggers, I liked many of the stories (including graphic stories) in 826NYC's publication Noisy Outlaws, Unfriendly Blobs, and Some Other Things That Aren't as Scary http://www.826nyc.org/about/publications/2006/02/noisy_outlaws_unfr.... It includes short stories by Nick Hornby, Jonathan Safran Foer, Neil Gaiman, and Lemony Snicket ....å
Perfection Learning Company has some great short story collections organzied around a genre or a theme. I've used the genre collections for fantasy and mystery. I've bought (but not yet used) sci-fi and mythology. The theme collections are things like Identity, Family, Justice, etc. There is also a teaching resource book for each set of stories which I didn't find overly compelling, but I used them a little. www.perfectionlearning.com
