The New Yorker is starting to put more of their content under pay walls. That said, they have a slide show hyping this article about teen blogging sensation Tavi Gevinson.
This week in the magazine, Lizzie Widdicombe writes about Tavi Gevinson, a fourteen-year-old blogger whose readers include John Galliano, Rei Kawakubo, and the Mulleavy sisters. “Much like a magazine editor, a fashion blogger highlights standout clothes, but the presentation is more intimate and idiosyncratic,” Widdicombe writes. “Tavi’s blog is proudly cluttered. ‘Inspiration’ images culled from the Internet are jumbled together with chirpy, informal writing that is studded with far-flung pop-culture references.” Below are photos of Tavi from her blog, Style Rookie, examples of her collages, and excerpts from her blog posts.
Jenna, sorry to hear that - they're all live here - if you just google Lizzie Widdicombe Tavi Gevinson New Yorker that should get you there. Could your school have the sites blocked? Let me know if that works.
