Making Curriculum Pop

When it was announced that "The Great Gatsby" was being remade, starring Carey Mulligan and featuring model Gemma Ward, the fashion world squealed. Catherine Martin is the costume designer at the helm of the revamped classic. She has worked on other films like "Moulin Rouge!" and "Romeo + Juliet." Esquire magazine's Kurt Soller is betting "The Great Gatsby" will be the "most stylist movie ever," changing the way we think about period movie costumes. Well, do we think it lived up to the expectations?

Perhaps a litle too well?  I think the sets and costumes overshadowed the acting and the story, but others might disagree.
