Making Curriculum Pop

These were all the rage about 2-years ago. Two popped up in my inbox this week so I thought best collect and share.

First, I caught Israeli writer Etgar Keret's "10 Rules" at RookieMag.com via Twitter:

Read the full list at RookieMag HERE.

Then this week Brain Pickings curated an old "10 Rules" list by one of my favorite writers - Zadie Smith:

You can scoop the original of Zadie's list HERE.

My understanding is that all this was inspired by Elmore Leonard dropping his "10 Rules" in the New York Times in 2010 (these rules were even collected into a book). That led UK-based paper The Guardian to reprint Leonard's list and ask for a bazillion more from authors like:

Elmore Leonard, Diana Athill, Margaret Atwood, Roddy Doyle, Helen Dunmore, Geoff Dyer, Anne Enright, Richard Ford, Jonathan Franzen, Esther Freud, Neil Gaiman, David Hare, PD James, AL Kennedy, Hilary Mantel, Michael Moorcock, Michael Morpurgo, Andrew Motion, Joyce Carol Oates, Annie Proulx, Philip Pullman, Ian Rankin, Will Self, Helen Simpson, Zadie Smith, Colm Tóibín, Rose Tremain, Sarah Waters and Jeanette Winterson

There are two parts to The Guardian's "10 Rules" collection Part 1 is HERE, Part 2 is HERE as well as this gallery that breaks down each author's lists into individual pages.

Do you know of any other cool "10 Rules" lists/sites?
