Making Curriculum Pop

Program Web Sites—and More

Do your students want to learn how to program? Codecademy can help. This free site offers browser-based instruction in JavaScript. The site is easy to use. In fact, in lieu of an initial signup, the site prompts students to complete a task, one that starts the first lessons on using the command line. As they proceed through the lessons—there are currently eight—students earn points and badges. The company plans to offer more lessons and more content in the coming months.

You probably should change the title of this to "JavaScript training" since JavaScript is not the same as Java.
