Making Curriculum Pop

I am enjoying reading "from the ivory tower to the schoolhouse by Jack Scneider. It might not be for the reasons you would ever think.

Schneider writes about important trends, research and ideas in education. He writes about Bloom's Taxonomy or Gardiner's Multiple Intelligences and the now common practice of project method, where students show what they have learned through completion of a project.

I am enjoying the book for all the right reasons: good writing, interesting subject matter and pertinent topics. However, it is because of the back story in each of these that I am enjoying the book. Not everything in education is for the kindest, gentlest reasons, you learn from Schneider. At times, the ego of the researcher in his or her own career carries an audience to new heights.

Yes, I am enjoying Schneider's book.
