Making Curriculum Pop

Essential watching for kids and educators. For those who are fans of the Frontline PBS shows that  Douglas Rushkoff is involved in Generation Like (2014) is an excellent addition to The Merchants of Cool (2001), The Persuaders (2005), Digital Nation (2010). The most interesting part of this show (and richest for class discussion) is the way they explore the Hunger Games (film) marketing machine that is used for a framing metaphor for the show. Rushkoff argues (and this is a paraphrase) that kids "enter the arena (social networks) looking for sponsors, because 'you've gotta be liked if you want to win."

It is a must watch doc IMHO...
