Media Literacy: New In VPA Standards; Support Document Available

On September 8, the SC State Board of Education passed the revised teaching standards for the Visual & Performing Arts. For the first time, both media arts and media literacy are a part of the new teaching standards. In support of the new elements, I have created a standards support document, which has resources and guidance for all involved. Other support documents will be unveiled at the SC Alliance for Arts Ed conference September 23-24 and will be available via their website.
