SLIDESHOW: Dust Bowl Revisited
The current drought in California is one of the reasons Yahoo News is reminding us of the famous Dust Bowl of the 1930s, captured by photographer Dorothea Lange. "Perhaps no other photographer captured the heartbreaking plight of the migrant farm families in the way Lange did, as they escaped the Dust Bowl only to suffer extreme poverty and discrimination while trying to rebuild their lives in California."
