Join Discovery Education as we launch Of the People: Live from the White House, a virtual field trip series broadcast directly from the White House. Transporting students to Washington, D.C. for a behind-the-scenes look at the people, places, and issues that shape and inform our world.

Did you know that "The White House" is actually a nickname created by President Teddy Roosevelt in 1901?  Students will learn the story behind this fact and more when they join this Virtual Field Trip on December 16 at 1PM ET hosted by White House Curator William Allman.  Of the People: The History and Art of the White House is a 30-minute LIVE event that will take students on a VIP journey behind the scenes of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
