QUESTION: Quote about Learning and what is left over?

OK, So I remember hearing a famous quote that was something like:

"Learning is what you remember" or

"What's left over is learning" or

"The residue of education is learning" or

"Only what you remember is learning"

Does anyone know what I'm talking about, who or where this quote might be coming from? I want to use it to start an article and can't for the life of me figure out where this is from / the exact quote.

Thanks in advance… Continue

The Institute for Habits of Mind has a great collection of quotes about metacognition.* I'm more interested in quotes from people like Vygotsky, Dewey, psychologists, researchers and academics, as it applies to teaching…

Welcome the smallest MC POPPER (by birth, not interest) Téa Lauren Goble born 9.25.10 at 1:21pm - 6 lbs. 15oz., 20 inches.

The first thoughts posted here on baby Téa were my personal paranoias about princess-ness - but so far she's been a sweet baby that has been keeping mommy and daddy busy. We have already noticed that Téa's a HUGE…

QUESTION: The Canon (and Kooky Cool New & Diverse Books) for Little Girls

Hello Everyone,

As I mentioned last week, Nicole and I just found out the gender of our baby on Monday evening.

As the ultrasound tech was moving around checking things out Nicole said, "oh, are those the girl bits?" I couldn't stop laughing as "girl bits" is a great phrase - a bit odd, but not entirely offensive. Nicole has clearly read more books about pregnancy than I have as it all looked fuzzy to me. When we actually found out it would be a…
