Screenwriting

So you want to teach kids how to write for the big, little and nano screens? This section is for you. Oh, and consider reading one of William Goldman's books on the topic like "Adventures in the Screentrade" or "Which Lie Did I Tell?"

I'm thinking Creative Writing is a good choice.  Screenwriting is a unit in the grade 12 College Creative Writing course I teach.

Sean - that is a good idea - maybe we roll it into poets and writers?  ANyone else have thoughts on that?  Should I change p & w to "creative writing" or just writing?

Hey, Ryan, perhaps we could throw this in with Teach with Moving Images group.  Or we could possibly create a wider group for Creative Writing.  Screenwriting isn't offered at many places, but Creative Writing is.

Thanks for all the great responses, everyone -- what an amazing group to be part of! And Frank, I hope you are well, too. I just returned from a trip to VA and am ready to get back to work...

Also, if anyone will be in New York for the "Media Overseas" conference in June, please let me know -- or if you'd like more info about this event.
