Making Curriculum Pop

I live in a multicultural US territory, a Commonwealth outside the United States located in the North Pacific.  While technically a part of the US, vendors and publishers treat us as "international," which means resources are sometimes prohibitively expensive since we cannot take advantage of "free" postage accompanying many US orders.
Wondering if any in this community are similarly situated and finding ways to get round the huge postage costs that usually eats up 30% of budget.  Also wondering about how to make curriculum "pop" for ELs

Phyllis, I'm not sure if this will help, but recently I discovered The Book Depository, situated in the UK. They offer free shipping worldwide on all their books and have a section on education and teaching resources.
Phyllis,

We'll share this out on the next Crowdsource Tuesday. In the meantime if you want to find out about how to make ELL pop, consider checking out the discussion forum in the Modern Languages & ELL group.
will do. thanks.
Checked out the book depository but the prices are almost double (or triple when desired items are on sale). Amazon prices vary but they do not approach 50%. Some vendors work with us; others don't and prices for postage bear little or no relation to purchased materials.
I used the book depository extensively when I was teaching in Germany. they were really reliable.
thanks. immediately checked out the site. Prices are high but if source is reliable, great.
We have so little for grant money and that is a topic I am exploring: Does anyone have ideas for private sources to fund literacy purchases like paperbacks?
Desperately trying to build classroom libraries.
