Foreign films are unfortunately not released here often - money. The many film festivals that go on in this city are good places to see some, including documentaries and shorts. Right now thru this weekend there are two Brooklyn International FF wbff.org has features documentaries and shorts. The other the Muslim Voices MUSLIMVOICESFESTIVAL.ORG his film, music, theatre and discussions from countries with a large muslim populace. Starting Saturday at the Walter Reade Cinema at Lincoln Center is the Human Rights Film Festival the complete schedule is in the "FREE THINS TO DO" issue of TIMEOUT NY magazine
