I went to You Tube and learned about a teaching method called Power Teaching. Has anyone used it? What are your thoughts? And, for what grade did you use it?

What 5 essential pop culture artifacts (CDs, DVDs, Books, Images, Toys, etc.) would you have on your desert island?: I would take with me the Twilight series of books,they were actually really good!
A DVD of the Lost TV series.
I would bring my What to expect the first year book.
my IPod with my work out play-list on it.
and any Janet Jackson CD

Take a look at the lesson plan beginning on p. 153. We can probably utilize that to present instead of preparing each of our own presentations. Take a look at it and see what you think. Since you're an elementary educator you should consider joining the Elementary Ed group. You might also check out their discussion forum for resources!

At the top of the group there should be an little + sign similar to the one in the Middle School group (image below) that says "+Join Middle School Group." Easy stuff.
