Power Teaching

I went to You Tube and learned about a teaching method called Power Teaching. Has anyone used it? What are your thoughts? And, for what grade did you use it?

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I really enjoyed presenting my lesson, and it made me really look forward to student teaching and eventually finding a job teaching math. And congratulations on your baby girl! 10 months is a great age, and little girls are the cutest ever. I am wondering though; is it hard to balance kids and a career?

I am glad that you like it. I know it was a great help to us too. I will bring the extra two panels that go with it to class. Then you always have the option to make a bigger play area:).
I have to drop Alene off at camp so I will be there a little late tomorrow.

Hi Kyla! I took a closer look on Weds and I think our chapter project may be easier than we think. Take a look at the lesson plan beginning on p. 153. We can probably utilize that to present instead of preparing each of our own presentations. Take a look at it and see what you think. We will have time for prep on Weds too. See you then!

Howdy Kyla!

Great to have you here!

Since you're an elementary educator you should consider joining the Elementary Ed group. You might also check out their discussion forum for resources!

At the top of the group there should be an little + sign similar to the one in the Middle School group (image below) that says "+Join Middle School Group." Easy stuff.
